Spotlight tours offer an opportunity to slow down and look closely at select highlights from the Whitney Museum's Collection. Guided by a Museum docent, participants are encouraged to study and discuss works together.

For families with kids of all ages
Families are invited to make their own artworks inspired by works on view in the current exhibitions. Each week we offer a different art making project.

MYTH ASTRAY: A project by Arto Lindsay

In conjunction with Hélio Oiticica: To Organize Delirum, Brazilian-American artist and experimental composer Arto Lindsay devises a series of talks, screenings, and musical performances exploring Tropicália, samba, and the Brazilian avant-garde.

The Laurie M. Tisch Education Center

For the first time in its history, the Whitney Museum has a dedicated space for education with the opening of the Laurie M. Tisch Education Center. Centrally located on the Museum’s Third Floor and adjacent to the Susan and John Hess Family Theater, the Education Center provides opportunities for museum educators to work in innovative ways, offering audiences drop-in programming, hands-on learning, and in-depth and interdisciplinary programming. The Laurie M. Tisch Education Center is a hub where visitors can engage with artists and enliven and enrich their museum experience.
